…that we could be a part of this initiative of Tamil Nadu, BJP, where we are trying to serve society through Sewa Karya, through social work on this auspicious occasion of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji’s birthday. Prime Minister Modi is a Pradhan Sewak. He does not look upon himself to be a Prime Minister, and he believes it’s an opportunity to serve society, to serve the people of India. And, the Tamil Nadu BJP, along with all other karyakartas across the country have taken this day as Sewa Day.
We are working across the country through medical camps, through cleanliness drives, Swachh Bharat, through tree plantation, different initiatives, so that the karyakartas party machinery, the citizens of local area can all work together to give India a new direction where through people’s participation, and through CSR initiatives of hospitals, doctors, Lion’s club; everybody will come together to make sure that good facilities are available for our citizens, to make sure that we can make our neighbourhood clean, to make sure that we green our cities to make them environmentally friendly.
And all these initiatives cannot be possible without the support of all of you. I would like to thank all of you who have worked to make this medical camp a grand success, the young sisters there, the young doctors, the technicians, everybody who has worked, over 300 patients have already benefited from this camp free of charge. By 3 o’clock, we expect about 500 patients would have benefited from this camp. I am sure the Bhartiya Janta Party in Tamil Nadu will continue to be connected with the people of Tamil Nadu, will continue to work for a better quality of life for our people, and will continue to earn the love and affection of the citizens of Chennai, of the citizens of Tamil Nadu.
Service is above self, and service is the only way we can truly serve our fellow citizens. I compliment Tamilisai ji and all our karyakartas that they have helped us build the party, helped us earn the love and affection of people of Tamil Nadu. We will continue to work to ensure that every citizen of this country has a better quality of life. Prime Minister Modi has a vision of New India, by 2022 when India becomes 75 years of independence, we want to see a New India where every citizen has a roof over his head where every citizen has toilet in his home, has 24 hours electricity in his home, good quality drinking water, good quality education, good quality healthcare in the neighbourhood. And towards that vision, we can only be successful if everybody participates as one family.
I compliment this family assembled here today for the good work you have done.
Vanakkam!
