Inaugurated the Amrit Tower, a modern office space for budding entrepreneurs in emerging technology sectors at Cochin Special Economic Zone. Also launched Zero Liquid Discharge System at the SEZ to treat effluents & conserve water, promoting sustainable industrialisation.

Interacted with exporters & visited units at Cochin Special Economic Zone (CSEZ). SEZs have played a crucial role in India’s FY22 exports’ success. Kochi can take the lead in defence manufacturing as India capitalises on a global supply chain rejig.

Spices exports have risen substantially since 2014. In meeting with Spices Board & industry stakeholders, discussed ways to double exports. GI tagged varieties have commercial potential that can be realised with newer markets opening for farmers through FTAs.

Strengthening Blue Economy 🐠🦐 Interacted with members of fishing community at the MPEDA office in Kochi. India is blessed with a vast coastline & our fishermen are playing a vital role towards the goal of Aatmanirbhar Bharat. Modi Govt. is committed to their upliftment.

Interacted with stakeholders of marine exports at MPEDA, Kochi. After record exports in 2021-22, discussed the roadmap ahead. Identified value addition, infrastructure upgradation, & thrust on aquaculture as key.

Met members of Rubber Board & interacted with industry stakeholders in Kochi. Discussed ways to increase India’s production & help MSMEs benefit from innovation & product development in rubber manufacturing. Research can help farmers gain from processed rubber wood.
