मित्रों | Today is a day of accountability. We in the BJP and NDA are accountable for our 3-year performance. In 3 years, we have given the nation an honest, scam-free government, a decisive leader, pro-poor thrust on governance, and for the first time in history, we have become the fastest growing large economy for all these 3 years. It is also a day of accountability for the corrupt. One UPA leader is holding assets in the name of Benami Companies, now it is clear why Benami Law was not made operational by the UPA for so many years. I am sure he will be accountable, not only for the fodder but also the proceeds of the crime.
The other leader will be accountable for his son-stroke. His columns are of no significance to the nation, they did not set the Yamuna on fire. The issue is not only the manner of grant of FIPB approvals. The issue is, why did the beneficiaries of FIPB permissions give moneys to companies owned by the son? I think the jury is out. The Congress has become helpless in the face of the massive popularity of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, and the unprecedented development that is happening in all spheres in India, has actually become difficult for the Congress to face the people. Instead of introspection about where they are going wrong and why they have lost the faith of the people, I think they are raising non-issues which the nation is not willing to accept.

यह आज भ्रष्टाचारियों के लिए भी एक जवाबदेही दिवस है, एक UPA के leader के ऊपर इलज़ाम है कि उसकी आय से ज्यादा संपत्ति उन्होंने बेनामी कंपनियों में रख रखी है | अब समझ में आता है कि बेनामी संपत्ति का कानून UPA की सरकार ने इतने वर्षों तक क्यों लागू नहीं किया | अब वह जवाबदेही होंगे सिर्फ चारा के लिए नहीं, सिर्फ fodder के लिए नहीं, लेकिन इस चारे से कमाई हुई भ्रष्टाचार से लिप्त पैसे के लिए भी वह जवाबदार होंगे | दूसरा एक नेता आज जवाबदायी है अपने परिवार के काम के लिए, उनके कुछ अख़बारों में column आते हैं और यह सफाई दी जा रही है कि क्योंकि मैं column लिखता हूँ, सरकार की आलोचना करता हूँ इसलिए यह action हो रहा है | मैं समझता हूँ column हमारे लिए या इस देश के लिए कोई अहमियत नहीं रखता, उन columns से कोई बहुत बड़ा तूफ़ान आया हो ऐसा कुछ हुआ नहीं है देश में | सवाल यह है कि विदेश से जो निवेश होता है भारत में जिसमें FIPB (Foreign Investment Promotion Board) की permission लगती है, सवाल यह उठता है कि उन permission के लिए, उन मंज़ूरी के लिए, निवेश की मंज़ूरी के लिए क्यों जिन लोगों को मंज़ूरी मिली उन्होंने कुछ कंपनियों को पैसा दिया जो कंपनियां उस समय के वित्त मंत्री के लड़के की है, उनकी मलकियत की है | सवाल वह है और सवाल उसका जवाब जनता चाहती है, देश चाहता है
जो भाजपा की सरकार जीतके आई है मुझे लगता है जनता ने अपना निर्णय स्पष्ट कर दिया है, कांग्रेस इतनी बौखलाई हुई है कि जो उनके काले कारनामे थे जिसपे investigative agencies या कानून का काम चल रहा है | आखिर हमने तो कोई कहा नहीं था कि fodder scam फिर से खुलना चाहिए, यह तो कानून का निर्णय था, Supreme Court का निर्णय था | मुझे लगता है हमारी सरकार विकास के काम में जुटी हुई है, कांग्रेस हमारी लोकप्रियता और नरेन्द्र मोदी जी की लोकप्रियता से पूरी तरीके से बौखला गयी है और उनको आज दिख नहीं रहा है किस प्रकार से तेज़ गति से देश में विकास हो रहा है |

Well, I think this is a cut-paste job that Congress has tried to do. They have not understood the whole issue in perspective and nobody in this country will deny that if at all there is truly somebody who has worked for the upliftment of the Dalits, there’s somebody whose heart beats for the poor of India, for the marginalised and socially deprived sections of India. Prime Minister Modi has been working relentlessly for the last 3 years for their upliftment and for a better life for the Dalits and for the deprived sections of society.
