आचार्य कुल चन्द्र सूरी जी महाराज, हमारे प्रिय स्वामी रामदेव जी, बाबा जी के साथ हमारा बहुत घनिष्ट संबंध रहता है, जैन आचार्य नम्रमुनी जी महाराज, आपको नमन करता हूँ| हम सबके मैं समझता हूँ आज के नेता और जिन्होंने हम सबको एक मंच पर सम्मिलित किया, ऐसे आचार्य लोकेश मुनि जी को मैं नमन करता हूँ, the Archbishop Felix Anthony Machado, the Archbishop of Mumbai, the Chief Jathedar Gurbachan Singhji, अकाल तख़्त अमृतसर से आये हैं, नमस्कार गुरूजी, my dear friend Maulana Dr Kalbe Sadiqji, Senior Vice President of the Muslim Personal Law Board, with whom I have had the pleasure of sharing the stage and having a dialogue on an earlier occasion in Kolkata and was very impressed with his progressive views about humanity, about all religions working together for the betterment of society. My colleague, senior colleague, Dr Harsh Vardhan, Minister for Environment and Science and Technology, my other colleague Shri Parshottam Rupalaji, Minister of Agriculture, Farmers’ Welfare, Panchayati Raaj, my good friend Vivek Oberoi, other colleagues on the dais, off the dais, senior leaders of society, of different religions, ladies and gentlemen.
It’s a matter of great pride for all of us that Acharya Lokesh Muniji, somebody who’s dedicated his whole life for the betterment of society, for the upliftment of humanity, for the welfare of human beings, for establishing an integrated society, bringing people together, and for mutual brotherhood to lead today’s discussion to bring about global peace and harmony, to bring all religions on one platform and work for a better India.
लोकेश मुनि जी ने स्वयं लगभग 20,000 किलोमीटर से ज्यादा पदयात्रा की है इस देश में सामूहिक लोगों को जोड़ने के लिए और समरसता फ़ैलाने के लिए| विभिन्न समुदायों को एक साथ लेकर आना, सांप्रदायिक संघर्षों को ख़त्म करना, यह कोई सामान्य काम नहीं है| You need a real dedication of purpose, a commitment to a cause to be able to bring together people from across the country, and in that sense, लोकेश मुनि जी आपने जो शांति की भावना पूरे देश में फैलाने का प्रयत्न किया है, जिस प्रकार से आपने सद्भावना पूरे देश में लाने की कोशिश की है, जिस प्रकार से आपने समाज को एकत्र करने की कोशिश की है, मैं समझता हूँ his holiness, Dalai Lamaji और हम सभी के जो लक्ष्य के लिए हम सब काम कर रहे हैं, आप उसके जीते-जागते प्रतीक हैं जो समाज में रह के इस काम को आगे बढ़ा रहे हैं|
Prime Minister Modi recently spoke about the country debating and discussing what is the future of our nation. उन्होंने समृद्धि से, संकल्प से सिद्धि की कल्पना जो की इस देश को समृद्ध बनाने के लिए, एक नए भारत की जो कल्पना की है उसके विषय में उन्होंने चाहा कि हम सब अलग-अलग माध्यम से मंथन करें, आपसी विचार-विमर्श करें, सरकार आपकी बात समझे, आप सरकार की बात में सम्मिलित हों, और इस प्रकार से पूरे देश को एक विश्व में स्थान जो उसका सही स्थान है सोने की चिड़िया का स्थान है, वह पाने के लिए हम सब मिलजुलकर, जनभागीदारी से संकल्प करें और उस संकल्प के साथ-साथ इस प्रकार का काम करें, इस प्रकार से सब मिलजुल कर काम करें जो वास्तव में इस देश को एक नए भारत की ओर ले के जा सके|
और इस अभियान में मैं समझता हूँ समाज में भी जो गलत काम चल रहे हैं, समाज में जो सुधार की आवश्यकता है, अलग-अलग प्रकार से जो आधारभूत सुविधाएं देश में सब जगह पहुंचनी हैं, शिक्षा और स्वास्थ्य की प्रणाली में सुधार करना है, इन सबका बहुत महत्वपूर्ण जो काम है वह हम सबके सामूहिक प्रयासों से पूरा हो सकता है| और मुझे पूरा विश्वास है यह जो युनिटी इन डाइवर्सिटी का जो आज कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया है जिसमें हमें बड़े-बड़े महानुभाओं के आशीर्वचन का भी स्वाभाग्य मिलेगा, इसको लेकर एक नया आगे का विश्वास वाला वातावरण इस देश में काबिल होगा, पूरे देश में संपन्न होगा और यह देश तेज़ गति से प्रगति करेगा, उसी तेज़ गति से जिससे आपने हम सबका सम्मान भी किया, हम सबको फेलिसिटेट किया एक बुलेट ट्रेन की तरह, वैसे इस देश में भी विकास और प्रगति का मार्ग पूरे तेज़ गति से चलेगा, दौड़ेगा और लोगों के जीवन में सुख-शांति और समृद्धि लायेगा|
सर्वधर्म समभाव – यह हमारे देश की प्राचीन कल्पना है| वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम् – ‘The whole world is one’ – is ingrained in every Indian. और मैं समझता हूँ मान्य दलाई लामा जी ने जिस प्रकार से कहा था, ‘India is the best example of religious tolerance where non-violence and religious harmony was propagated as early as 3000 years ago.’
Your Holiness, you have rightly encapsulated the Indian ethos of brotherhood, of oneness, togetherness, and the fact that India has played an important role in bringing about world peace and harmony is also reflected when one sees the 200,000 Indian troops who have participated in more than 50 United Nations peacekeeping missions all across the world. Probably, the highest number of participants in peacekeeping forces around the world have been contributed by India and Indians.
यह जो विचार है कि पूरे देश में और पूरे विश्व में हम शांति कायम करें, इस विश्व की जो बड़ी चुनौतियां हैं उसके सामने हम सब मिलजुलकर संघर्ष करें, इसमें मैं दो प्रमुख विषयों के प्रति आप सबका ध्यान आकर्षित करना चाहूँगा – आतंकवाद और जलवायु परिवर्तन|
Climate change and terrorism are possibly two of the world’s biggest challenges that we are all grappling with, that we are all facing. On the front of terrorism, today the world has recognized how dangerous these intolerant thoughts can be and what it can lead to in terms of instability of society, in terms of harm to very human existence.
आतंकवाद के खिलाफ हम सब मिलकर एक-जुट होकर लड़ाई लडें, आतंकवाद इस पूरे विश्व को जो सबसे ज्यादा परेशान करने वाली चीज़ है वह आज मैं समझता हूँ आतंकवाद है| और चाहे वह यूरोप हो, चाहे वह अमेरिका हो, चाहे वह एशिया हो, कोई भी देश आज आतंकवाद से बचा हुआ नहीं है| साथ ही साथ प्रदूषण की जो समस्या है, pollution, the problems of carbon dioxide, the problem of greenhouse gases is expanding day by day, and the world cannot afford it. We will all have to collectively work to address this big challenge of climate change. And Dr Harsh Vardhan as Environment Minister, as Science and Technology Minister, in a small way I have been working along with him to see how India can provide leadership to the world’s efforts to address this huge challenge of climate change.
We are at the vanguard of new technologies. We are at the forefront of promoting renewable energy across the country. We are working towards energy efficiency to save energy and thereby reduce the carbon dioxide, reduce the pollution in the country. Going forward, India is going to lead the world in promoting electric vehicles, so that cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Pune can all be rid of this huge crisis that pollution is causing to India and to the rest of the world. And I would seek your support and your blessings in these endeavours.
As the Vedas say, the entire humanity is one family. And I think, today, Acharya Lokesh Muniji has brought all of us on this stage to show to the world that all Indians are one, irrespective of our faith, irrespective of our religion, irrespective of our God, irrespective of the path we follow to achieve salvation. And in that sense, dialogue, discussion, debate is the only way forward to achieve the noble goal of world peace and harmony. And, I am delighted that this interface dialogue has elicited so much response, so much enthusiasm amongst Mumbaikars.
I believe all of us here are assembled to get the blessings and hear the wise words of his Holiness and other esteemed religious leaders here. I will only say that whatever guidance, whatever outcomes come out of this dialogue, I can reassure you your Holiness, I can reassure you Swami Ramdevji, Acharyaji, Acharya Lokesh Muniji and all the assembled distinguished religious leaders that we all Mumbaikars stand committed to bringing peace and harmony to our city, to our state and to our country.
In conclusion, while I would have loved to be a part of the dialogue right till the end, I have another programme in Nagpur and have to rush to Nagpur right away for a programme at 12.40. So I would be seeking your indulgence, your blessings and your permission to take leave, but please I give my assurances and my most humble salutations to each one of the religious leaders assembled here. We stand committed to making sure that India and the entire world is strengthened by the 5 ‘Ps’, ‘Ps’ of power, which I am committed to making sure every home in this country gets before 15th August, 2022, not a single home in this country will be without electricity 24/7. Prosperity for all Indians, so that by 15th August, 2022, not a single citizen of India is without shelter on his head, is without electricity, a good toilet in his home, good education, good health facilities.
The third ‘P’ of Prestige – we will ensure India’s prestige in the comity of nations is right at the top. India will lead the world going forward.
Pleasure and happiness – we want every Indian to be happy and meet the goals that Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay had set where integral humanism talks about happiness of every Indian. And we will position India right at the top as a superpower, which will ensure that all our neighbours live in peace and harmony, the world lives in peace and harmony, all religions in India live in peace and harmony, working for the betterment of society.
